Griffins Culture
The Griffins are a fun club. Part of that fun is the
banter involved around the club.
We enjoy our rugby and play the game with passion and unity. We enjoy the social aspect of a rugby club and there are lots of organised social events for you to come along and get to know other members.
We are strict on bullying and tolerate all-comers. We recognise and appreciate all players, helpers and supporters. Any issues that require mediation are quickly settled via our Cultural Officer.
2020 saw the launch of our #bebetter campaign. Whilst everyone is welcome to our club, the challenge to all involved is to Be Better. Be a better player, be fitter, live better, be a better human. This was the start of the change from being a social team to a competitive rugby team in Newcastle.
2021 saw the Griffins back in the finals competition.
2022 saw the Griffins being in the Grand-final, our last appearance was 1996.
2023 saw the Griffins in the finals again for the 3rd consecutive season.
Our goal for 2024 is to finally bring home that trophy, join us in making history.
