Come along and play for The Newcastle Griffins Rugby Club, a community-focused organisation dedicated to promoting rugby and fostering mates in rugby, mental health awareness and developing an outlet for people in our region to come together as one with no judgement but to share a common love for Rugby, family and friends.
Founded in 1991 after merging with Port Hunter (Est.1932) and Technical College Rugby Union Club (est.1948), the Newcastle Griffins Rugby Club has grown to become a prominent fixture in our local sports community. We are committed to developing players of all ages, promoting sportsmanship, and engaging with our local community through various events and programs.

The Griffins are a Family fun club. Part of that fun is the
banter involved around the club.
We enjoy our rugby and play the game with passion and unity. We enjoy the social aspect of a rugby club with the inclusion of social events for you to come along and be apart of The Newcastle Griffins family.
We recognise and appreciate all players, helpers and supporters. We take pride in our Code Of Conduct and if any issues arise they are dealt with professionally by our Club Captain as well as the Support from the Club Committee if needed.
2025 we are rebuilding with a passion to grow the club and encourage our local community to get behind us to help us turn The Newcastle Griffins around making it a bigger and better family club.
