​You don’t need to have played rugby before.  You don’t need to be in peak condition. You don’t need to commit to a long Saturday season. You just need to want a run… and a good Friday night.

 

What is Friday Night 4s?

​

Friday Night 4s is social rugby done right.

 

Played under lights from May to the end of July, it’s a short-format competition designed for:

• New players trying rugby for the first time

• Students and shift workers

• Former players whose bodies don’t love full Saturday seasons anymore

• Anyone wanting competitive sport without full-season pressure

 

It’s footy first. Then it’s a beer with the opposition after.

 

What to Expect

• 🏉 25 minute halves

• 🌙 Friday night triple-header format

• 👥 Up to 27 players in a squad

• ♻️ Unlimited rolling substitutions

• 🎉 Gala-style hosting (each club hosts at least one round)

 

There’s intensity on the field — but the culture is welcoming, respectful and social.

 

This isn’t Premier Grade.
There’s no pressure to be perfect.
You’ll learn as you go.

Can I Still Play Saturday Rugby?

 

Yes — dual registration is available (subject to approval).

If you play elsewhere on Saturdays, or work shifts and need flexibility, Friday Night 4s can fit around real life.
